Debating and Public Speaking

Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.

Creative and Performing arts

Our Dance Groups, Choirs and Band offer students an exciting opportunity to develop their performance skills, creativity, and confidence in a supportive and fun environment.

Each week, students rehearse together to build technique, teamwork, and stage presence. They prepare for special school events and interschool music and dance festivals throughout the year.

Whether your child loves to sing, dance, play music or perform, these groups are a fantastic way to express themselves, make new friends, and shine on stage!

Excursions and Incursions

Our students enjoy getting out of the classroom to explore, learn and try new things. These experiences help them grow, build confidence and see how their learning connects to the world.

Enrichment Mathematics Groups for Years 1-6

These groups provide opportunities for high-achieving or highly interested students to be challenged beyond the regular curriculum. They encourage deeper thinking and creativity through complex and engaging tasks. Our enrichment Mathematics groups develop problem-solving skills through the APSMO programs. These groups meet multiple times a week and ensure our students are challenged.

Literacy Enrichment Opportunities Years 1-6

Our school offers a range of literacy enrichment opportunities for students in Years K–6. Small, focused groups work with quality texts to develop advanced reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. Students are also encouraged to participate in competitions whenever possible, giving them the chance to challenge themselves, showcase their abilities, and deepen their love of language and literature.

Interschool Sport Competitions (PSSA)

Our students participate in PSSA, an exciting interschool sports competition held on Fridays. They have the opportunity to represent our school in basketball, soccer, OzTag, softball, tee ball, and Newcombe Ball, competing against other schools in a fun, team-focused environment. PSSA encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, skill development, and a love of sport while giving students the thrill of competing and showing school pride.

Garden Club

Our Garden Club nurtures our garden beds weekly, with students involved in actively watering plants, caring for the garden and growing new life from seedlings.

Lego Club

The Lego Club meet weekly, where students collaborate and engage their critical and creative thinking skills to solve challenges using Lego. It's a fun and inspiring space for teamwork and imaginative problem-solving.

Student Representative Council

Our Student Representative Council (SRC) gives students a voice in shaping their school community. Members attend regular meetings, contribute ideas, and lead initiatives that make authentic improvements around the school. Through the SRC, students develop leadership skills, collaborate with peers, and gain experience running important school assemblies, fostering confidence, responsibility, and a strong sense of school pride.

Code Camp

Our After-School Code Camp runs right here at school, offering fun and engaging activities for children aged 5–13. Students develop skills in coding, problem-solving, and creative technology, empowering them to become creators of the future while having a great time after school!

Band

Our bands rehearse weekly, offering students the exciting opportunity to learn and develop their musical skills. We have both a Training Band for beginners and a Performing Band for more experienced musicians, ensuring every student can find their perfect place to grow and shine.

Keyboard

Our weekly after-school keyboard lessons give students the chance to learn to play music while also developing their understanding of music theory. These lessons help students build practical skills, creativity, and confidence in a fun and supportive environment.

Chess Club

Our Chess Club meets weekly after school, giving students the chance to develop strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and patience in a fun and challenging environment. Open to all skill levels, the club encourages friendly competition, teamwork, and the joy of learning a classic game that sharpens the mind.

Aerobic Leaders

Our Aerobic Leaders play an energetic role in promoting fitness and fun across the school. These student leaders help guide the whole school through aerobic tracks throughout the year, encouraging active participation and building healthy habits. With enthusiasm and teamwork, they inspire their peers to stay active, develop confidence, and enjoy movement as part of our school’s strong focus on wellbeing.

Pulse Alive

We are proud our students are participating in Pulse Alive in 2026. Pulse Alive is a vibrant celebration of creativity, connection, and opportunity in the performing arts! This incredible event brings together thousands of singers, dancers, actors, and musicians from NSW public schools across metropolitan, regional, rural, and remote communities.

Our students are excited to participate in massed dance as well as the Pulse Alive Dance Company, contributing their unique energy and creativity to the stage.

We can’t wait to see our talented students light up the arena and be celebrated alongside thousands of young performers from across NSW!

Mind Masters

Students at Beverly Hills Public School also engage in the Mind Masters Tournament in partnership with Kingsgrove High School. This opportunity challenges student's problem-solving, critical thinking, and mental agility. This competition provides an excellent opportunity for students to enhance their cognitive skills in a fun and stimulating environment, promoting intellectual growth and a passion for learning beyond the classroom.
